Mal started writing songs in the early 70’s when fronting a band called The Breed. Prior to this he was bassist with Pony Express playing clubs and supporting touring acts from home and abroad.
Since then he has played in many bands, encompassing a wide selection of music styles such as folk, Latin, country blues and Jazz . He now concentrates mainly on writing, but still enjoys performing live with regular band Blue Moon.
